Finish off your ChillOut Festival weekend with a circuit walk between the Hepburn Springs Bathhouse and Daylesford via Spring Creek and Doctors Gully. This is a completely different route to that taken in previous years.
GRADE | LENGTH | TYPE: Moderate approximately 10 km, circuit walk, mostly on off-road paths, steep at times.
ACTIVITY DESCRIPTION:
Starting from the Hepburn Springs Bathhouse car park (which has an amenities block), we head through the bush to the old swimming hole, then pass through the Hepburn Springs village to pick up the Doctors Gully track, which we follow to the northern outskirts of Daylesford. There we turn around to head back towards Hepburn Springs via the Spring Creek valley. We'll probably stop at the Hepburn Reservoir for lunch. After lunch we continue along a 4WD track which mostly follows the ridge all the way to a 4-way intersection close to our starting point.

MEETING TIME | LOCATION: 10:30am in the car park at the end of Mineral Springs Reserve Rd, Hepburn Springs (follow the road past the Hepburn Bathhouse and Spa to the car park at the end of that road). We'll meet beside the amenities block.

DISTANCE | TIME FROM GPO: Via Western Fwy 118 km, 1 hour 25 minutes | via Calder Fwy 117 km, 1 hour 30 minutes.
FOOD: Carry lunch, snacks and at least 1 litre of water. You will be able to sample natural spring water along the way.
APPAREL | FOOTWEAR: Face mask, hand sanitiser, comfortable walking boots and dress according to the weather forecast. Depending on recent rainfall, you may get wet feet in some creek crossings. Some sections contain sharp rocks.
FOOD: Carry lunch, snacks and at least 1 litre of water.
