AusCycling Advanced Coaching Course 2024

The AusCycling Advanced Coaching qualification is the perfect step into the performance coaching world.

If you have decided that your coaching goal is to take athletes and yourself on the high performance journey, to lead teams and set new personal best performances, the Advanced Coach qualification is your next step.

With past graduates including Australian and International high performance coaches and athletes from countries such as Spain, Gemany, Netherlands, South Africa, Denmark and the UK, the course takes a deeper dive into what it is that is required to operate at the higher levels of cycling.

The Advanced Coaching course explores each of the key AusCycling disciplines and takes the learner on the journey of:

• High performance athlete assessment
• Goal setting
• Training plan development, prescription and review
• Physiological adaptation
• Psychology for coaches
• Biomechanical assessment for coaches
• Nutrition for coaches
• Strength and Conditioning for coaches
• Reflective coaching practice
• Athlete and coach health and wellbeing
• Travel

The course is delivered via a four and a half day interactive face to face Microsoft Teams meeting over 3 consecitive weekends with a half day small research presentation by each trainee to the group and a coaching panel on the final weekend. 

Dates for the course are:

• Session 1 and 2: 1st and 2nd June, 2024 (1000-1700 hrs AEST)

• Session 3 and 4: 8th and 9th June, 2024(1000-1700 hrs AEST)

• Session 5: 15th June, 2024 (1000-1330 hrs AEST)
