Learn to grow mushrooms

This beginners workshop will focus on a variety of methods that can be done at home and don’t require expensive equipment. Methods covered include:

• Growing on cardboard
• Culturing using peroxide agar
• Glove boxes
• Spore and liquid culture syringes
• Grain spawn
• Fruiting mushrooms from straw, woodchips, logs and other substrates

At the end of the workshop everyone will leave with a mushroom grow bag and cultures of several different species of mushrooms to grow at home. All materials are included.

We are running the workshop  together with our partner organisation MYCOmmunity Applied Mycology (www.myco.org.au) which is a community group that does awareness-raising, training and research around fungi.
